Mitchell Bros Sawmilling and Timber Processing was established in 1946 and is now currently owned and operated by 4th generation members of the Mitchell Family.

Mitchell Bros Operation consists of Sawmilling and Timber Processing of sustainably grown New Zealand Radiata Pine.
The processing consists of kiln drying, acoustic grader, planing, wood preservation and optimising cross cutting. Mitchell Bros Production is focused on producing structural grades, but also produces treated timber for landscaping, fencing, CTL Industrial grades. These products are sold in the South Island, of New Zealand.
We also supply Roundwood to the wholesale market, both Farm Fence Posts and Building Poles which can be purchased from many stores throughout Canterbury and the West Coast. Mitchell Bros also produces Potato Bins and Pallets which we supply direct to the grower.

Timber Output
The mill cuts Radiata Pine only and has a very strong Saw Log supply from throughout Canterbury and the West Coast. The Timber production output of the Sawmill is about 20,000 m3 pa in which almost all is Kiln dried and preservative treated on site.

- Systems TM cross cutting docking saw with auto infeed and 4 length sort kickers.
